Textile artist Amanda Browder will design and fabricate a colorful, quilt-like sculpture with help from you, the community. Once complete, the sculpture will be draped from the top of ArtsWestchester’s historic 9-story building in downtown White Plains in May 2020.

Join us to pin and sew stripes or shapes for the larger design. Amanda will help you feel comfortable in trying a new creative task such as pinning, sewing or coordinating.

The recommended age group is adult, but all are welcome. The project has different tasks for each age group and ability. No sewing or pinning experience is necessary. Participation is the goal! For younger children we recommend an adult partner accompany them to help with the task.

All materials will be provided. If you have a sewing machine, you are welcome to bring it.

This will be a drop-in event. If you anticipate staying for the full event, please register for each session.
