Join KMA Executive Director Michael Gitlitz and Akili Tommasino, incoming Associate Curator, Modern and Contemporary Art, at The Metropolitan Museum in New York, for a salon-style conversation. Tommasino, an art historian and expert in 20th-century avant-garde art movements, has been serving as Associate Curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, since 2018. His appointment at The Met begins in April.

Tommasino is also a KMA Advisory Board Member and was previously a Curatorial Assistant at the Museum of Modern Art where he founded Prep for Prep/Sotheby’s Summer Art Academy to give students of color an early window into the art world. They will explore the changing landscape of museums and their future.
