December 7, 2020 @ 4:30PM — 5:45PM
in Collaboration with the Clay Art Center
Inspired by the contemporary Japanese ceramics on view at the KMA, this workshop invites youth artists to experiment with unique hand-built clay techniques. Working virtually with CAC teaching artist Jeanne Carreau, students will transform a slab of clay into a one of a kind handbuilt plate using just their hands and basic tools. After firing, you can eat off your plate or display it! Open to students age 8 to 14. No prior ceramics experience is necessary. Advanced registration required. Workshop kits can be picked up in advance from the KMA. Further details about the kits and firing will be sent after registration.
$30 KMA and CAC Members; $40 Non-Members
