On Saturday, June 9, we will honor Ellen Grimes,Vice President of the KMA Board of Trustees, and longtime supporter of arts in our community.
"I joined the Katonah Museum of Art about 10 years ago and with each passing year I become increasingly aware of the remarkable role it plays in this community. It is not just an art museum; it is also a vibrant community and cultural hub. How lucky we are to have it in our backyard."
The funds raised through the KMA Summer Soiree will be used by the Museum to support its exhibition and education programs, as well as community outreach efforts.
"I count the Katonah Museum of Art as one of my most cherished philanthropic endeavors and am thrilled to be the honoree at its annual gala on June 9th. I am getting ready for a smashing evening of great art, food and wine, and an after party that will rock!"
In addition to celebrating Ellen's legacy, the Gala is inspired by the Museum's current exhibition, Long, Winding Journeys, Contemporary Art and the Islamic Tradition, on view through June 17.
